A unique festival in the north-east of the Dutch province Groningen. The theme of 2024; Grond Om Te Blijven (The Place We Reside In).
What does the earth we reside in look like? What can be found right underneath the surface of this Groninger soil? Can we claim our presence by using the theme visually in our artwork? Experiments with paper and bleach got turned into unique earth samples and soil textures. By doing this, the theme was transformed into a toolbox full of visual design assets.
The list of campaign expressions was long, giving us the opportunity to create a cohesive and consistent visual campaign.

To make the existing logo and visual identity more sustainable we added an icon to the mix of the visual identity assets.
The characteristic Grasnapolsky logo gave us a radar icon. An icon with a geographical character, matching the (visual) theme and concept behind the 2024 edition of the festival.











Big thanks to Tessa Verbei for an amazing spatial design job, translating our original visual concept into textile banners using a beautiful handmade textile treatments.
